Glory Proclaimed

Today is new with life for me,

for I have chosen to claim victory.

I prayed the prayer and asked him in

so my life could begin again.

At that moment, in the blink of and eye,

to my life his blood was applied.

My sins forgiven, covered from sight,

I have arisen to walk in the newness if life.

Sisters and brothers rejoice at my plight,

but the Lord is the one who with power and might.

His blessing so ample and wisdom so right

all I need is to listen when he shines the light.

Righteousness and honor are earthly virtues,

describing his glory these are the words we use.

His sacrifice paid the price for sins untold,

yet he asked for no payment for making us whole.

When I knelt and asked for his help that day,

I touched his hand at the altar as I prayed.

By burden was lifted and my sorrow taken away,

because I know where I’ll stand on Judgement Day.

The path I chosen will one-day lead me home

to a time without sorrow where I’m never alone.

Today I commit to humble myself,

to set aside pride and everything else.

I’m honored to worship the one who redeemed my soul

and to his glory my life will witness as a Christian pure and bold.

Now that I have renounce my sin,

I proclaim my life will be Less of me, more of Him.
