Cards and Notes
By A.L. Conway
As an author I am neither rich or famous, nor do I desire to be, but as a husband I know I am loved and revered by one who’s opinion I cherish greatly. I consider it my obligation to regularly demonstrate my love and devotion to my wife. One of the ways I convey my undying unwavering commitment to someone who has so selflessly given of herself for me is to write her cards and notes.
The cards and notes I send my cherished wife are not greatly profound or of such a personal nature that she can’t enjoy them with her friends and coworkers. I feel a small part of loving someone is being willing to stand and tell the world of your love. All men and women recognize romance when they see it and I think all women desire to be romanced. I know the woman I call my wife enjoys romance and it is my desire to see her pleased.
The following writings are a collection of notes and ideas I’ve expressed to my wife over the past few years. Some are from cards that accompanied flowers I gave or had sent to her. Others are just notes or thoughts that I felt fit the moment. Some I thought would touch her in a time when she needed a special touch. All these pieces were written to glorify my wife and to let her know how much I love and enjoy her.
I encourage every man to find some way to show his wife how much he cherishes her, to do it often and with a passion that revels his heart. I believe with all my heart that no woman can turn away from a husband who romances her. I too believe that no man can turn away if he is truly romancing his wife.
Some couples see every day as another day of drudgery or monotony and I think that attitude is reflected in their eyes, their heart and their relationships. Others attack every day as if is something to be conquered or as another conquest. I think they often run right past the things they’re searching for. Then there are the men and women who live their lives with a passion. They are filled by the excitement of every new day. They only experience remorse through the hearts of other less fortunate souls. It’s that love and passion that I pray every man lives to taste and every woman recognizes in the little things her loved one does.
I do pray you all happiness, but first I pray you the desire and will to seek it out and the tenacity to hold on to it every day that remains in your life.
Come on let’s shake the Sugar Tree.
You always make me smile. I hope you’re smiling.
I yearn to touch you, smell you and know you’re mine.
You are sweeter than a rose and I’m glad you’re mine.
I crave your touch and the sparkle of your eye.
Every night I pray, "What a lucky man am I."
All my prayers were answered when God sent you.
Your summer romance forecast looks hot and steamy.
Have I told you lately that I love you!
Wink when you’re ready.
I leave every morning looking forward
to spending every night with you.
Every day I spend in Heaven can only be
as sweet as one night with you.
You’re looking good to me!
Any Time, Any Where!
You make my dreams come true.
Making Love has never been so good,
Being in love never better.
I love you and miss you.
Don’t look now, but my heart is a mess for you.
Some nights are special and some nights are even better.
Some nights make some days special.
You can leave, but make sure you pack me some clean underwear.
My need only you can fill.
You are a rose and I’m a thorn,
but together is exactly where we belong.
I’m thinking about running away from everything,
but I need to know where you want to go.
I’ll never mind being alone as long as I’m alone with you.
I thought about tossing stones at your window at night,
But I thought I might have better luck with flowers.
If I could sing I would only want to sing love songs to you.
When I dream I only dream of you.
I hope you’re smiling.
I am, while I thinking about you.
I know you’re not mad,
but let’s make up anyway.
I can’t stop thinking about you.
I like the way you _________ !
(Leave it blank, she will fill it in.)
Don’t stop now. I can’t stand it!!
I hope you found something that sparked an idea or something that your mate would find romantic. I don’t pretend to have the answers for every relationship. I just hope I have made mine a little better by doing the things my wife enjoys and by adding spice to our relationship.
I would love to hear how you’ve keep the fire burning. If you are a romantic like me I’m sure you have some stories. I know I do. Maybe one day we will have a chance to share stories of romantic actions we’ve seen. Maybe someone else will be telling their friends about how romantic you and your spouse are.
Love is only half the story. Romance is what gives love all it’s flavor. I encourage you to fall in love and get romantic. It feels so good!
